Stripe Jacket/Blazer Burgundy

Three button stripe jacket. Not quite a boating blazer but along those lines. Unusual 60’s  reverse peak lapel and a top pocket flap which can be tucked away if prefered. Single rear vent and a slightly longer but more waisted fit than our usual suits. Single cuff button detail. 60/40 wool/poly and feels very nice to the touch.

I like this. Really prompt delivery , arriving the next day. Fits well and nice cloth. Overall effect is more brownish than maroon. Been after an odd jacket for ages – one that you can wear with either jeans or smarter trousers. Particularly like the lapels AND they haven’t got a button hole which is a major consideration for me as I hate button holes in lapels. Colours not too in your face like a boating blazer. I used to like boating blazers but not nowadays so this is perfect for me. Nice coat.
Non-working cuffs unfortunately but I reckon a decent tailor or seamstress could easily fix that if you wanted.

Impressive delivery service. Ordered this on Weds and it arrived on Thurs. Nicely packaged as well. This fits me well. It’s lightweight (1.5lbs) but well-made. Colours are very muted so if you want a shocking blazer this isn’t for you! From a distance it seems more brown than maroon. I’ve been wearing it with black Bedford cords and a polo which (I think) go well together. It would also be good with jeans/stapresr/chinos. I like the pocket flap and the lack of lapel button holes because I have a loathing of lapel button holes (why do you put them in your other jackets? Pointless things that ruin the symmetry of a coat!). I haven’t tried it with smart trousers/shirt n tie yet. All my formal trousers seem to be blue which Don’t go very well with it, but I think it would work with a tie.
Shame the cuffs aren’t working and I would prefer side vents to a centre vent because I think it would hang better but these are minor details and I am very pleased with this blazer.
