The Six Button Check
Our Six-button shirt is back, now in a sharp check!
This is a classic Jump the Gun check shirt, the kind we've made for years. Made in a lovely super lightweight flannel. Warm enough for autumn but light enough to keep wearing through to summer. One of our best ever if we do say so ourselves.
These are a Mod shirt in every way - box-pleat, darts, 3 finger collar, tailored fit. Now in a new cut, we recommend buying your usual size. Those who've found earlier iterations of the JtG checked shirt too slim may want to give these a try!
One last thing - Why six buttons? Attention to detail, of course! Nearly every shirt you’ve ever owned will have 7 buttons, so what’s the big deal? With a six-button placket, the distance between the buttons is slightly greater, meaning when the top button is left undone, our button down collar lays perfectly into the ‘angel wing’ shape of the button downs of decades past - exactly the sort of nearly imperceptible extraneous detail we chat about all day in the shop!
- Regular fit - buy your usual size. Slightly roomier than the Oxford variant
- Sewn-in box pleat and darts
- Three-finger button down collar
- Six-button box placket
