The CWU-36P is the summer weight flight jacket most people know from Top Gun - all sharp lines, oversized flap pockets and that perfect short blouson cut that smartens up the otherwise ultrapractical jacket. 

We used to regularly stock original deadstock CWUs here, but like most good military gear, they slowly dried up and disappeared into collections. For a while we resigned ourselves to never really finding a proper replacement.

Then we found these.

Made in Japan by Houston, this is one of the only versions still produced in genuine Nomex, just like the originals. Lightweight, hard wearing and cut properly short, without the bloated fit most modern reproductions seem to end up with.

As close as we’ve found to the real thing.
