M65 Fishtail Parka - Vintage Army Surplus
The M65 Fishtail Parka is as close to a Mod uniform as menswear gets. Originally issued by the U.S. Army for cold-weather field use, surplus versions found their way into the hands of British Mods in the late 1960s and again in the revival - worn over suits to protect from rain on scooters, and soon immortalised as part of the look.
Built for function first, the M65 Fishtail features a heavy-duty shell, drawstrings at the waist and hem, button-in liner fittings, and the signature split “fishtail” back for movement. It’s a long, protective, and properly practical coat - and in our opinion, still one of the best parkas ever made.
We’re stocking genuine Grade 1 issued U.S. Army M65 Fishtail Parkas - decades old but in great condition. Due to their scarcity, we currently only have limited sizes available. Detachable hood included.
