What is Bedford cord? Glad you asked! Named for New Bedford, Massachusetts, Bedford cord is a hard-wearing workwear cloth which has been in use since the 1800s, but peaked in popularity in the 1960s. Bedford cord has a flatter, drier texture as it lacks the deep 'wales' characteristic of corduroy. Tough but soft to the touch, its perfect for the Kennedy Jacket.
